"A rose by any other name, still has thorns"

I have recently started to ponder that age old question, "Can boys ans girls be just friends?" To take it further, I would also ask, "Can boys and girls who've dated be just friends?"
Vlad is a very funny guy, and I will be the first to admit that even though we are no longer together, we have an unhealthy amount of contact. He is, however, one of my dearest friends, who has the ability to make me laugh, even when it's inappropriate and I definitely shouldn't be laughing...Other times, I make jokes at his expense that perhaps I shouldn't have. For example, today he was talking to me about recommitting to not drinking soda, and this time, he was really going to commit, to which I came back with, "which seems to be an issue for you..." How am I supposed to know where to draw this line? I mean he set up the joke so perfectly, I could hardly be expected to resist. ;)

Monday, Quite Possibly My Favorite Day of the Week

So, I haven't written to you guys in a while. Dating got all sorts crazy, and I was seeing this boy named Vlad (after the impaler). We were going strong, and had it all. He also usurped much of my time, which is why I was barely able to keep up in school, let alone write on this blog. So there is my apology.
Any who, Vlad and I just recently parted ways, and by recently, I mean less than 48 hours ago. As I watched the flames burn out on our stack of love notes, I decided right then and there that everything was going to be fine. So he was not the honey to my suckle, the thorn to my rose, or the cloud to my storm... But there will be others. Right now, I just get to enjoy being in the depths of my despair for a moment.

A New Year

Well, it's that time of year when everyone makes a whole lot of goals and such that they never really plan on keeping. I could never count how many times at the end of the year I have heard people say, "I didn't quite make it with last year's resolutions, but this year is going to be totally different." That is why I do not make New Year's Resolutions. I resolve to fix my problems when I have one. That generally is a good idea.
Moving on, I apologize again that I have not updated. Life got really hectic there at the end of the semester, with finals, dating, and work. Many great wonderful things have happened in 2012, and I look forward to the next year. ^_^
